Reiki is a game-changing Japanese hands-on healing modality. It treats the whole being, bringing mind, body and spirit into balance and creates space for transformation and healing.
Although it's usually offered as a way to relax and release stress, many people experience profound healings.
It's natural, gentle and non-invasive and can be hands on or hands off or be delivered at distance (you learn distance Reiki in Reiki 2).
Reiki is the energy in the universe that we're all connected to, that we all come from.
The healing system around it was developed by Mikao Usui in 1922 following an enlightenment experience that also gave him powerful healing abilities.
His focus was on spiritual growth as a path to be able to heal the self and others.

Reiki is a skill you already have. We're all born with the ability to harness universal energy and use it. But most of us don't, it's not something we do in our culture.
All the stuff that happens to us, all the conditioning, trauma and limiting beliefs we have cloud that connection to source and it's harder for us to access our natural healing abilities.

I'm Mitra, your Usui Reiki Master Teacher
I began working as an energy healer in 2010 and first trained as a Reiki Master in 2013. Not feeling satisified with my first training, I've taken multiple Reiki Master trainings and am trained to teach both Western and Japanese Reiki.
I teach predominantly Japanese Reiki as I believe it gives the best foundation for a Reiki education, and I include pieces of Western Reiki to give my students a broad and rich training. Not many people teach Japanese Reiki - although many suggest they are by saying they're teaching Usui Reiki (spoiler alert, you're only learning Japanese Reiki if your teacher is explicit about it).
Over the years I've created proprietary Reiki trainings for parents, birth workers and birth partners, based on my experience and training in not only Reiki but also Systematic Kinesiology and Acupuncture.
The thing I love most about teaching Reiki is so many people have profound shifts after taking a training. They might not continue with Reiki, but it has such power to open, activate and align people that I'm always seeing magical things happen in my students lives.

Reiki is a Japanese hands-on energy healing modality that clears energy blockages and brings the body back into balance, a place from which healing can happen. It supports the immune system and nervous system.
No. You don't have to hold any beliefs or follow any rules or dogma to do Reiki. Mikao Usui, the creator of Reiki, was Buddhist so many of the concepts in his healing system come within that context but it is not a Buddhist practice. Whether you have a religion or have no religion you can do Reiki. I've had students check with their priest if it's ok to take a Reiki class.
Yes, this training is designed for people who've never learnt Reiki before. Even if you've never received it or only just heard of it, we start with the absolute basics and you don't need to know anything yet.
This is not a certification training but I offer certification workshops for my students. These 2 hour Zoom workshops include a live personal attunement, a guided self-treatment, guided professional style treatment on another and a Q&A. As well as becoming certified as a Reiki practitioner you also receive 21 days of follow up email support and access to my private Facebook group.

You'll receive details of how to access the course along with your log in details in the welcome email once you've made your purchase. The course is hosted on a website so you'll be able to access it on your computer or phone. The manuals are downloadable so you can save them on your devices.
I really get how hard it is to find the time to take a program. I did my best to make it easy as possible to fit into a super busy life.
The whole program takes about 4 hours to complete. The content is split into short videos, so if you're super busy you can watch a 5 minute video when you can catch a window, you don't need to watch it all in one go.
There are also audio versions of each of the video lessons so you can listen to them if that's easier for you.
You don't need to take notes or do any homework so you can listen while you're driving, working out, anywhere you can carve a little multi-tasking time.
There are two attunement methods included in the course. A guided self-attunement meditation and a virtual attunement video led by me. You can choose to do either or both.
If you prefer to receive a personal attunement from me that's available in my certification workshops which you are welcome to join after you've taken the course. These workshops take place on Zoom and include a live personal attunement, a guided self-treament, a guided professional style treatment on another, a Q&A and as well as becoming certified as a Reiki practitioner you also receive 21 days of follow up email support and access to my private Facebook group.
In person attunements give you a different energetic experience that many people find very powerful but they're not essential.
It depends on how you feel about that training. If it left you unsatisfied, or things didn't make sense to you, you will probably find a lot of those gaps get filled with this class. If your previous training was in Western Reiki there will be some fresh information and perspectives that will add a new dimension to your understanding and practice.
You receive a Reiki 1 certificate if you take the certification workshop. This is usually enough to start working as a professional Reiki practitioner (please check the laws in your country or state). You'll receive the standard of training required to work professionally in the course.
